**IMPORTANT** RENEW OR START YOUR USA FENCING MEMBERSHIP!
If you are a completely new fencer or a fencer coming from camp and planning on continuing in August, I might consider becoming a USA Fencing member now. The next season, the USA Fencing membership prices will increase to $29 (from $25). If you become a member now, USA Fencing has a Membership Extension Policy: A new or first-time upgrading member who joins USA Fencing between April 1 and June 30 of the current membership season shall be entitled to a membership for the remaining months in the current season through the next membership season.
USA Fencing Membership prices will raise from $25 to $29 for Access Membership (good for classes and local competitions — MOST FENCERS WILL BE GETTING THE ACCESS MEMBERSHIP). Competitive membership will raise from $90 to $99 (required if participating in National and Regional Competitions — Only those few that participate in National and Regional events will need the Competitive Membership).
If you renew your membership before Aug. 1, 2023, you can do so at 2022-23 season prices.

Check Out The City View Article!
There’s a great new article in the most recent City View. I’ll try to bring copies for anyone that wants a copy, but here is the online link to the article: https://www.cityviewnc.com/stories/mind-over-matter,47229
ASKFRED New Design
Askfred has finally created a new website. For those that haven’t competed before or are relatively new, most tournaments that we host, participate in, and upcoming tournaments, are posted on https://www.askfred.net . If you previously had an account, when you log in, you’ll have to confirm your e-mail. I’m still finding my way around the new website, but it’s now also mobile friendly! When you get a chance to, poke around the site to familiarize yourself with the new layout.
For new fencers, we post our events on Askfred, and you’ll register for events and view results on Askfred. I tend to also set up physical sign in sheets at the club to assist, but if you participate in competitions regularly, sign up for an account for your fencer on Askfred. Tournaments that we attend are also posted on Askfred and you’ll register for events on the same site.
