Saturday Tournament Reminders
It’s a home tournament weekend! And it looks like a decent turnout! Unfortunately some people are out of town, but we have a good pre-registration list!
Some reminders:
-Dress like you would dress for class.
-We’ll provide all the equipment for you.
-You will change into fencing knickers (pants) at the club. Something new for some fencers, who hasn’t done a tournament before.
-Men’s event starts at 9AM, so be there by 8:30AM
-Women’s event starts at 12:30PM, so be there by 12PM.
For those that haven’t done a tournament before, we’ll explain to parents and students what to expect. You can also view our Primer on Tournaments on our website: https://allamericanfencing.com/a-primer-on-tournaments/
Men’s event we anticipate to be done between 12-1PM.
Women’s event we anticipate to be done between 3:30-5:30PM
This is a home event, and if it’s your first time, it’s about being with your teammates, meeting other teammates from other classes, and learning about how a tournament works! So if you’re new to competing, don’t worry about winning or losing, we just want you to experience it, and we’ll be there to help you throughout the whole event. We just want you to do your best, we’re not looking if you win or lose, this is just trying to take what we learn from class into practice!
See everyone there!
