Schedule Change Next Week…And National Event Announcement!
SCHEDULE CHANGE NEXT WEEK!
Next week, Thursday, April 13, 2023, there will be NO CLASS (youth foil and adult epee). Coaches and competitors will be travelling to Fredericksburg to compete in the Fairfax Challenge.
If you would like to make up that class day, please come on the following day:
Thursday, 6PM, Youth Foil Make Up Day: Tuesday, April 11, 2023, 6PM
Thursday, 6:15PM, Adult Epee Make Up Day: Wednesday, April 12, 2023, 6:15PM
Otherwise, happy Spring Break (for those that are on Spring Break).
A NORTH AMERICAN CUP IS RETURNING TO RALEIGH!
Whether you want to try your first National Event, want to spectate, or look at equipment and possibly purchase or update your equipment, USA Fencing is hosting a Super Junior/Cadet Circuit and a Division II North America Cup in Raleigh from June 2-4, 2023! Doing a National Event is a big step. Fencers from the club you may know that have competed in a National Event are Gabe, Isabelle, Andrew, Sabrina, and Bruce. We’re not yet sure who of our regular fencers, including Gabe, Isabelle, and Coach may fence.
You can also just go up to watch! The event is free for anybody to watch fencing or purchase equipment! If you’re looking to purchase a new set or buy pieces, a national event is a great place to do so because you can try things on (uniforms or shoes), feel different blades or parts, or needlessly spend money on stuff that you probably don’t need, but totally want (Coach Gerhard is totally guilty of that.)
Registration is now open, deadline is May 5, 2023.
You must have a Competitive Membership (not just an Access Membership).
