Weekend Results and Charlotte Junior Olympics
We had a pretty good weekend in Greensboro and quite a number of fencers competing!
In the Elementary and Middle School Pisacafe Circuit…
Seth Wilson took first in the Pisacafe Middle School Circuit and first in the overall combined Elementary and Middle School event.
Paxxon Fernandez tied for third Pisacafe Middle School Circuit.
Olivia Elliott took 5th place in the Pisacafe Middle School Circuit.
Finn O’Donnell took 8th place in the Pisacafe Middle School Circuit.
Olivia McKinney took first in the Pisacafe Elementary School Circuit and fifth in the overall combined Elementary and Middle School event.
In the Homeschool Events…
The Varsity Homeschool Team (Captain Lily Kube, Isaac Canady, and Zion Facey) took first.
Mesha Green took 7th place.
Avery Chapman took 8th place.
Congrats to everyone. Coach thought everyone fenced really well and have made improvements since their last tournament! Little improvement go a long way!

Seth Wilson leads in first place with 328 points. Paxxon Fernandez is in second with 257 points. Olivia Elliott is in 4th with 175 points.

Charlotte Junior Olympics
Coach Gerhard will be in Charlotte this Saturday to support Isaac Canady in his first Junior Olympics. Isaac will be competing in the Junior Men’s Foil on Saturday at 8AM. Events are occurring Friday-Sunday. You can view the event schedule, location, information, here: https://www.usafencing.org/juniorolympics2024
All the equipment suppliers will be on site, if you are looking at purchasing equipment Junior Olympics is a good place to do so! Coach will be purchasing equipment himself!
Lastly, they are looking for volunteers. Per USA Fencing: We do need help with our Para (wheelchair) events. View the schedule including the para events. If your fencers wants to check-in 30 minutes before any of the start times for para we will be more than welcome to have them.
