December Updates and January Intramural
Reminders:
As we continue to see COVID-19 numbers rise in Cumberland County, let’s be extra cautious at the fencing club.
- Remember to wear your mask.
- Don’t crowd getting your equipment or when entering or leaving the club.
- Touch only your equipment!
- Wash your hands and/or hand sanitize when entering or leaving the club.
- Stay home if you feel sick or under the weather.
- Bring your own water bottle!
December class schedule:
All classes will remain on schedule through December 23, 2020. The only change is the VET-40 class, which will meet on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 6:15PM.
There will be no class during the week of December 28-January 1.
January Beginner and Advanced Intramural
We will be conducting an intramural tournament on Saturday, January 9, 2021. This event will only be open to All-American Fencing Academy fencers only, so basically, it’s a class that’s on a Saturday.
We also invite parents to come out because we will be teaching students and parents what a tournament looks like.
The tournament is $10. There will be a Beginners and an Advanced event for teens and adults. We will schedule a youth event later in the month. We will provide all the equipment, long pants or knickers (we can provide) are required.
The Beginners event will only be open to fencers that have not competed before.
Beginner fencers can participate in the advanced tournament if there is still space available on the day of the event.
The same COVID-19 precautions will be observed during the tournament.
