Junior Olympic Qualifiers and Upcoming Dates
Congrats to Zion Facey and Isabella Lee, both qualified for the 2026 Junior Olympics in January 2026 in Kansas City, MO.
Zion went 4-2 in his pool for Junior Men’s Foil and seeded 3rd going into eliminations. In the semi-finals, although the 2nd seed, Max Yun, defeated Zion in the pools, Zion soundly ousted Max 15-6. An upset also occurred on the other side of the bracket when 5th seed Joel Ertzberger defeated 1st seed Channing Monsch, setting up a finals between Joel Ertzberger and Zion Facey. Zion defeats Joel 15-11 in the finals. Zion qualifies for Junior Men’s Foil for the Junior Olympics.
Isabella went 2-2 in the pools, coming in 2nd seed for the eliminations rounds. Isabella defeats Adelina Lueken in the semifinals putting her against the top seed in the finals. Isabella comes in 2nd and qualifies for Junior Women’s Foil and Cadet Women’s Foil for the Junior Olympics.
