2017 Teach Open Results
The All-American Fencing Academy kicked off the fall season with the Teach Open. Several fencers competed in their first tournament, including Tia Brown, Daniel Decipulo, and Jessica Lowe! They all did wonderfully, first tournaments are always difficult, but they have teammates that will help them get better!
Congrats to Trevor Herrin (Men’s Foil), Sabrina Krupenko (Women’s Foil), and Daniel Johnson (Y10 Foil) for taking 1st place in their events! We swept first place in all the events except Y12, but Jaina Janson had the highest placement, tying for 3rd place.
Some other highlights, we continued to use instant replay for finals where Sabrina and Ines both requested instant replays to turn over some calls. In the youth events, John Rea from Wilmington Fencing Club was in house coaching his fencers and he also brought his new Leon Paul wireless score boxes that the kids got to use in the final rounds!
Congrats everyone on a good start of the season! Here are the results: https://askfred.net/Results/results.php?tournament_id=37559
