Another Ref Clinic and Soft Re-Open Week
Two things that are in this post:
-Soft-Open Week, sign up for private lessons and open fencing
-Open registration for another Online Referee Clinic
SOFT RE-OPEN WEEK:
I sent an e-mail a few days ago and it was moderately lengthy about our Soft Re-Open Week. It’s also posted online and on social networks. Make sure you sign up for a time to get back into the swing of things and hopefully we’ll be allowed to return 2nd week of July. OPEN REGISTRATION FOR ONLINE REFEREE CLINIC
This is a rare opportunity, and Lisa Campi-Sapery is continuing this opportunity. Referee clinics are rarely in North Carolina, and trying to get to one usually requires travel, over night stays, and more expenses. I really recommend this clinic not just for athletes but for PARENTS as well. We are always looking for referees for our unsanctioned tournaments.
It’s also good for athletes and improves their fencing and be better positioned to advocate for themselves at competitions. It’s also good for parents to gain a foundational knowledge of the rules and a better concept of the sport in general.
For more information or to sign up and pay online, go to https://askfred.net/Clinics/moreInfo.php?clinic_id=46604
Spaces fill up fast! Current registerees are people that were on a waitlist from the last clinic! Seminar fee: $50.00 in advance, through July 3. $60.00 July 4-10. You cannot beat that price!
Recently, Gabe, Sabrina, Bruce, Andrew, and former AAFA fencer Lars have taken the online referee clinic. Gabe, Sabrina, and Bruce have now already taken their written test and have earned their “P” rating in ALL THREE WEAPONS! Congrats to them! Whenever tournaments are being held again, they will take a practical test and earn their number rating as a referee.
