August 22nd Tourney, Different Schedule August 24-28
Saturday, August 22nd Tournament
Last year’s equipment fundraising tournament was a massive success. For everyone that borrows our electric equipment for competition, open fencing, and class, last year’s equipment fundraiser completely set us up for the entire season and we were able to replace all our broken weapons. The availability and maintenance of the best equipment has been invaluable to all our fencers. And the ones that own their own FIE equipment can tell you how expensive owning these on your own can be! Event fee is $25 and any other donation if you wish to donate for our equipment fundraiser.
For the youth events, they are currently separate, they are currently listed separately. But we will combine Y8 and Y10. We will combine Y12 and Y14. Fencers will be awarded the final place based on their age group.
Events:
8AM: Mixed Epee
10:30AM: Y8 Mixed Foil (Born 2018-2020) AND Y10 Mixed Foil (Born 2016-2019)
10:30AM: Y12 Mixed Foil (Born 2014-2017) AND Y14 Mixed Foil (Born 2012-2015)
1:30PM: Mixed Foil

Coach Gerhard’s August 24-28 Classes
Coach Gerhard has Army stuff to do this month and will be gone between August 24-28, these following classes will be affected:
Tuesday, August 25, 6PM Youth Class: No change, Coach Zion and Teens will coach the class.
Tuesday, August 25, 7PM Teen Class: Structured bouting, foil only, overseen by Coach Zion. No epee fencers.
Tuesday, August 25 Open Fencing: Open fencing will continue until Coach Zion has to leave.
Wednesday, August 26, 6PM: Teen and adult epee fencers only, Coach Zion coaching.
Wednesday, August 26, 7PM: No beginner fencing class. Make up class is the week before, Tuesday, August 18 at 6pm.
Thursday, August 27, 6:15PM: No adult epee class.
Thursday, August 27, 7PM: Open fencing (foil and epee) will continue until Coach Zion has to leave.
There are no changes to Coach Zion’s class (on Thursday at 6PM and 7PM). They will meet at their regular times.
