August Tournament, USA Fencing Membership, and Other Announcements
AUGUST 22ND TOURNAMENT AND FUNDRAISER
Last year’s equipment fundraising tournament was a massive success. For everyone that borrows our electric equipment for competition, open fencing, and class, last year’s equipment fundraiser completely set us up for the entire season and we were able to replace all our broken weapons. The availability and maintenance of the best equipment has been invaluable to all our fencers. And the ones that own their own FIE equipment can tell you how expensive owning these on your own can be!
At the end of the season, we used up all our spare blades, and we’re looking to upgrade some of our fencing strips with hopefully replay and/or additional strips. Please try to register now for our Fundraising Tournament in August, it will also serve as our season opener. Event fee is $25 and any other donation if you wish to donate for our equipment fundraiser.
For the youth events, they are currently separate, but depending on how many fencers we have in each age group, we may combine, but we’ll do separate awards for different age groups. Some of the age groups may overlap, if you’re attending, go ahead and register for all the youth age groups you are eligible for so I can see what ages we have fencing and where we might be able to split or combine.
Events:
8AM: Mixed Epee
Most likely Y8, Y10, and Y14 will be combined.
10:30AM: Y8 Mixed Foil (Born 2018-2020)
10:30AM: Y10 Mixed Foil (Born 2016-2019)
10:30AM: Y12 Mixed Foil (Born 2014-2017)
10:30AM: Y14 Mixed Foil (Born 2012-2015)
1:30PM: Mixed Foil

RENEW YOUR USA FENCING MEMBERSHIP OR COMPLETE YOUR INITIAL REGISTRATION
This is a requirement by USA Fencing for all members fencing clubs. Make sure you register or renew, if you do not have your USA Fencing Membership yet, make sure you get it! More information about the membership required can be found here: https://allamericanfencing.com/usafencingmembership/

TUESDAY OPEN FENCING!
Let’s make Tuesday Open Fencing Evenings as successful as Thursday Open Fencing Evenings! Getting time in to fence several different people in an open fencing seetting is just as important as open classes, advanced classes, and private lessons…and they don’t cost anything more! The fencers and their families make open fencing successful. We encourage anyone else that doesn’t come on Thursday to fence on Tuesdays evenings. Open fencing starts at 7:45PM!
