Coach Gerhard Will Be Late Tomorrow, Thursday, August 13th, Classes/Fencing Continuing with Coach Zion and Kevin.
It’s been a weird month…between Coach David in Army training for a few weeks, Coach Isaac headed off to college, and Coach Gerhard has two out of the ordinary work meetings this month. It doesn’t happen often, but Coach Gerhard will be very late to class on Thursday, August 13th.
Here are the changes tomorrow:
- Katherine and/or Zion will open the club at the usual time.
- Advanced conditioning fencers can use the big room for their conditioning.
- Coach Zion will have 3 beginner fencers in the smaller room at 6PM (make sure fencers are out of his way).
- Adult Epee Fencers at 6:15PM: Kevin will be there, he may warm you up with a little bit of footwork. But otherwise, you can go straight to open fencing and control the back strip like usual.
- Beginner Adult Fencers at 7PM: You will join the other small class at 7PM (same time) with Coach Zion’s 7PM foil class in the smaller room. Get ready to start getting hit! Coach Zion will begin some partner work and bouting.
- Open fencing will use the remaining strips in the big room.
- Coach Gerhard should get there closer to 8PM or a little after.
Open Fencing This Sunday
Don’t forget, Coach Gerhard will be at the club to teach a few classes this Sunday from 9-10AM. All Adult Beginner Fencers from my Thursday class is invited to come on Sunday at 9AM to get a class with me.
