Coach Isaac Canady Heads To Western Carolina University
Congrats to Coach Isaac as he starts a new chapter in life, he is headed to Western Carolina University! He joined the All-American Fencing Academy in 2022 when he was 15 years old. He fenced in local, regional, and national competitions and was a rated referee. We will miss him and hope to see him when he’s home on breaks! Coach Zion will be taking his place. Coach Zion has been with All-American Fencing Academy since he was 12 years old, a nationally rated fencer local, regional, and national competition experience. Coach Zion was also team captain and teammates with Coach Isaac on the AAFA homeschool season champion team during the 2023-2024 season.
Coach David Hadler In Training For 3 Weeks
Coach David is headed to some intense Army training for the next 3 weeks! We wish him luck and look forward to his return!
Isabella Lee Takes First in South Carolina!
Isabella fenced at the Foyal Rumble (spelling is correct). Isabella fenced in the Senior Women’s Foil event and upset several high seed fencers to take first place. August 22nd Fundraising Tournament
Last year’s equipment fundraising tournament was a massive success. For everyone that borrows our electric equipment for competition, open fencing, and class, last year’s equipment fundraiser completely set us up for the entire season and we were able to replace all our broken weapons. The availability and maintenance of the best equipment has been invaluable to all our fencers. And the ones that own their own FIE equipment can tell you how expensive owning these on your own can be!
For the youth events, they are currently separate, but depending on how many fencers we have in each age group, we will combine, but we’ll do separate awards for different age groups. Some of the age groups may overlap, if you’re attending, go ahead and register for all the youth age groups you are eligible for so I can see what ages we have fencing and where we might be able to split or combine.

8AM: Mixed Epee
10:30AM: Y8 Mixed Foil (Born 2018-2020)
10:30AM: Y10 Mixed Foil (Born 2016-2019)
10:30AM: Y12 Mixed Foil (Born 2014-2017)
10:30AM: Y14 Mixed Foil (Born 2012-2015)
1:30PM: Mixed Foil

August 24-28 Classes
Coach Gerhard also has Army stuff to do this month and will be gone between August 24-28, these following classes will be affected:
Tuesday, August 25, 6PM Youth Class: No change, Coach Zion and Teens will coach the class.
Tuesday, August 25, 7PM Teen Class: Structured bouting, foil only, overseen by Coach Zion. No epee fencers.
Tuesday, August 25 Open Fencing: Open fencing will continue until Coach Zion has to leave.
Wednesday, August 26, 6PM: Teen and adult epee fencers, Coach Zion coaching.
Wednesday, August 26, 7PM: No beginner fencing class. Make up class is the week before, Tuesday, August 18 at 6pm.
Thursday, August 27, 6:15PM: No adult epee class.
Thursday, August 27, 7PM: Open fencing will continue until Coach Zion has to leave.
There are no changes to Coach Zion’s class. They will meet at their regular times.
