Greensboro Results, Upcoming Tournament, and March 9-13 Schedule Changes

WEEKEND RESULTS FROM GREENSBORO
-Rowan Brown placed 5th and Ashton Shotsman placed 7th in the Elementary School Event!
-Olivia Mckinney placed 1st, Gideon Hartman took 2nd, and Elizabeth Powell took 7th in the Middle School Event!
-Jullian Telles placed 1st and mesha Green tied for 3rd in the Homeschool Individual!
-The Homeschool Team had their first win!

LYNN KRUPEY MEMORIAL IRON MAIDEN @ CAPE FEAR FENCING ASSOCIATION IN WILMINGTON, NC
This is an all women’s event in all three weapons. Currently, I see Lily registered for the Senior Women’s Foil. There is a max of 28 fencers for each weapon. I encourage all our women’s fencers to compete! Registration deadline is March 6, 2026. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to go down and see our fencers compete. Good luck to everyone!

!!IMPORTANT: COACH GERHARD’S CLASSES AND COACH ISAACS ARE CANCELLED MARCH 9-13 – COACH DAVID SUBBING ON MARCH 11!!
Coach Gerhard AND Coach Isaac has to be away that week. Coach David will do a make up class for regular class teens on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 6PM.

Classes affected/cancelled that week:
Tuesday, Youth Foil at 6PM: No class Tuesday, March 10, 2026. There are still 4 classes in March.
Tuesday, Teen/Adult Foil at 7PM: No class Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Substitute class will be on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 6PM with Coach David.
Wednesday, Teen/Adult Foil at 6PM: No change in time, substitute class with Coach David.
Wednesday, Beginner Class at 7PM: No class on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. The 4th class will be on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 6PM.
Thursday, Adult Epee at 6:15PM: No class on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Just open fencing starting at 7PM.
Thursday, Beginner Teen Class at 6PM: No class on Thursday, March 12, 2026. 4th class will be on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 7PM.
Thursday, Teen Foil at 7PM: No class on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Substitute class will be on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 6PM with Coach David.

Coach Davids classes and lessons ARE NOT affected. They will still occur on schedule.

There will also still be open fencing on Thursday, until Coach David has to leave.

FINAL PISACAFE AND HOMESCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIPS
This event is the day after I return, fortunately, this is at home. So you we don’t need to pack up equipment before leaving. But get this on your calendar as well: Saturday, March 14, 2026.
