US #3 rank men’s foil fencer, Nick Itkin, joins the All-American Fencing Academy’s discussion about resilience as an athlete and as a fencer.

Specifically the ability to stay in the game and turning around your own negative thinking while we watch his 2019 Shanghai Grand Prix round of 8 bout with Tommaso Marini.

In the beginning, Tommaso was ahead 7-0, and near the end, Tommaso had a definitive lead at 14-8 when Nick mounts an incredible comeback. He shares some of his routines, philosophies, and mindsets.
