Season Opener and Fundraiser Results!

It was another successful season opener and fundraiser!  All the proceeds are going to the equipment and supplies all our fencers use for practice, training, and competition.  It supports elementary, middle, and high school fencers, Fayetteville’s Homeschool team and fencers, local, regional, and national competitors, and Military and civilian veteran fencers!

A special thank you to all our volunteers that helped make the tournament a success!  Our bout committee, Holly Green, who kept all the registrations, strip assignments, and results up to date!  Thanks to all our volunteer referees:  Isabella Lee, Mesha Green, Hannah Satterlee, and Justin Campbell.  Also thank you to Coach Zion Facey and Jullian Telles for filling in to referee a few bouts while the referees had lunch!  All the referees did a wonderful job!

We had nearly 50 competitors!  Congrats to all the fencers who competed in their first tournament, competing in your first tournament in a big step!  The more you do, the better you get!  We loved having you fencing with us and look forward to having more tournaments with you!

We’ll host more tournaments this season, and we’ll travel to other clubs and events for competition.  Our fencers will have more opportunities to compete throughout the year!
