Updates: Masks, Jackets, and the 26th
Here are some updates you need to know!
Masks: Here are the requirements based on NC guidelines:
- Because children are still unvaccinated and can easily spread COVID-19, face coverings are still required in school and camp settings. Nothing in Executive Order 215 changes the requirement for face coverings. So the youth class on Tuesdays 6-7PM will still require face masks. Coach Gerhard will continue to wear his mask in class as well.
- Families are welcome to return to the fencing room to watch and wait during class!
- Teen and Adult classes will no longer require face masks.
We encourage everyone that is eligible and able to get a vaccine to get their vaccination. The Pfizer vaccine is now approved for ages 12 and up. You can find and schedule a vaccination at https://myspot.nc.gov.
NO CLASS MAY 26th.
Many of our students will be graduating next week, including Coach Gabe’s son, Gabriel. Gabe’s graduation will be graduating on May 26th, so there will be no class on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Any teens/adults that typically attend that class can come in on Tuesday at 7PM, or Thursday at 6:15PM.
TEAM JACKET
We plan on hosting a sanctioned event in June! Those details will be coming out soon! Many of our competitors like to show their team spirit with a team jacket! You may have seen some of our fencers wearing them in class! You can purchase locally at: https://www.cceheadgearplus.com/fencing
