We have a few returning coaches and some new ones this year! We have 20 new students attending camp, over the weekend the coaches and assistant coaches did a quick training but humored me and my video making hobbies and photography. SWEET TEA SHAKESPEAR’S THE THREE MUSKETEERS!
Coach Gerhard went to see Sweet Tea Shakespeare’s The Three Musketeers in Downtown Fayetteville, and IT WAS AWESOME. Their last group of shows will be this weekend. I wouldn’t mind seeing it again! Let’s try to get as many of our fencers to support the Arts in Downtown Fayetteville and let’s try to sell out the seats and attend the show this Friday at 7:30PM! REFEREE CERTIFICATION CLINIC WITH RYLAN DELAP
Many of our fencers participated in this referee clinic last time at Apex, NC. They not only did they do the clinic, they were also able to do the practical at the end of class and be observed for their L2 rating. We’ve lost some fencers due to college, and I always like to hire our students to help referee local tournaments, homeschool tournaments, and Pisacafe tournaments. Greensboro and Wilmington also thinks highly of our referees and often hires them as well for local, homeschool, and Pisacafe tournaments. ALL EPEE EVENT IN CHARLESTON, SC ON JUNE 20TH
There’s an event called The Pirate Olympics on June 20, 2026 in Summerville, SC (Charleston, SC) if anyone is interested. There is a Senior, Veteran, and Y12 Epee event in case anyone wants to travel to Charleston.

EBAY FIND:
Leon Paul XChange Epee Fencing Mask ($199 – Retail on leonpaulusa.com is $501). From what I can see, although seller says it’s used, it looks quite clean. Including the upgraded padding on the inside and the big (use typically shows staining on the bib). If you’re looking for a Leon Paul XChange Mask, even for foil, you can replace the epee bib with a foil bib. This is a pretty good deal! When I watched the item on Ebay, the seller sent a $14 off offer.
