Weekend Tournament Results and What’s Coming Up!
Congrats to everyone that participated this weekend! We hope you and your students enjoyed the tournament despite the heat. As we continue into fall and the winter, tournaments weather will get better in the fencing room, I promise. 🙂

We had many fencers competing in their first tournament from many clubs and some fencers also graduated a new age level. As we continue to have more tournaments at home, I will try to have more of our senior fencers available for the young kids to help them through the tournament.
Parents, we hope you learned about what to expect during a competition day. During our future events, we may need volunteers for helping other parents navigate the tournament day as well as assisting with our check in and our score keeping data management (computer input).

The next tournament is not that far away. We will have another home tournament that will be part of the Pisacafe Youth Circuit and Homeschool League.

*Because of current Askfred capabilities, we aren’t able to set events to say specifically “elementary”, “middle”, or homeschool individual or team. Y10-Y12 is Elementary, Y12-Y14 is Middle, and Junior Mixed Foil is Homeschool Individual.

River City Regional (Must have USA Fencing Competition Membership)

We are currently eye-balling this event. The deadline to register is September 1, 2023, and I haven’t decided if I will be going up to Richmond. I’ll know for certain by August 31, 2023, and I’ll let everyone know. Absolute Fencing Gear will be on site if you want to look at trying and purchasing equipment, you can always go up just to watch.
