Ok, a few things to cover, but all are important, I’ll try to keep it short.
First congrats to Bruce McRae for earning is E20 in foil in Wilmington. Wilmington are great events to get experience! Also special recognition to Greta Tart who fenced in the open epee and beat the eventual 3rd place winner in the pools!

Volunteer Opportunity:
NCAA Regionals needs volunteers on March 7 at Durham, NC. Durham NC Sports is looking for a few dozen volunteers to serve as runners and score-keepers. Volunteers should be in at least 9th grade, and will be fed lunch and given a polo from the event, where you’ll get to have a front-row seat to see athletes from Duke Fencing, Carolina Fencing, Penn State Fencing, Princeton Fencing and other top tier programs begin their NCAA Fencing Championship hunt! North Carolina Fencing Development Program Day Camp at UNC
Registration is open for the North Carolina Fencing Development Program Day Camp at UNC. Gabe and Isabelle will once again be participating and Coach Gerhard will also be up there working with beginner students. Especially if you are an active competitor, you get coaching from the Coach Miller (retired head coach of UNC of 52 years) and the current coaches of the UNC Fencing team. Something to consider this year if we have several students going up to the camp, perhaps the families and students would consider renting a joint AirBNB. I have no idea how that works, but think about it. 🙂
Open to students ages 8-17. Find the registration information at http://www.ncfdp.org/daycamp.html
