More Medals From Olivia and Isabella! (Also, Parent Class and Tournaments)

VA Beach Results From Sunday
Isabella and Olivia also competed on Sunday at the Miracle Fencing RYC/RJCC at Virginia Beach, VA.

Isabella fenced in the Junior Women’s Foil and in a giant pool of 9 fencers and only had 1 loss.  She seeded 2nd going into the elimination rounds and lost to the 3rd seed in the semi-finals.  Isabella finished in 3rd place.

Olivia fencing in the Y14 Women’s Foil, only had 1 loss in the pools, and also defeated Isabella’s 3rd seed loss in the pools.  Olivia seeded 3rd in the elimination rounds, but lost to the same fencer Isabella lost to in the semi-finals.  Olivia finished in 3rd place.

Parent Class on Regional/National Events and Open Fencing
Mark your calendars!  On Friday, October 2, at 6PM, Coach Gerhard and Olivia’s mom is doing a presentation about getting into Regional and National events for all age groups.  There will also be open fencing afterwards. Upcoming Tournaments
We may host a beginner foil and middle/high school epee tournament sometime in October since it will be a while before we start the Elementary and Middle School events.  But here are some things you may want on your calendar:

September 18:  Mixed Epee at Greensboro
October 10:  Adult and Vet Foil, Epee, and Sabre at Greensboro
October 24:  Foil and Epee events at Wilmington
