VA Beach Results, Regional/National Tournament Presentation, and Pop-Up Class
Miracle Fencing RYC/RJCC (Virginia Beach, VA)
Isabella Lee and Olivia McKinney competed over the weekend at the Virginia Beach Regional Youth, Junior, and Cadet Circuit. The both competed in the Cadet Women’s Foil event on Saturday, Olivia went undefeated in the pools, and Isabella went 2-2 in the pools. Olivia was in 1st seed and Isabella was in 6th seed entering the elimination rounds. Isabella recovered and defeated 2 higher seeds in the elimination rounds. Both Olivia and Isabella made it to the semi-finals, fortunately in opposite brackets. Olivia and Isabella both lost in the semi-finals, but both tied for 3rd place! Congrats to both!

Isabella Lee will be fencing in the Junior Women’s Foil event and Olivia McKinney will be fencing in the Y14 Women’s Foil event tomorrow! Wish them luck!
Regional and National Event Presentation on Friday, October 2nd, at 6PM
A number of our fencers compete regularly in Regional and National events. Often times, they are there by themselves and would love to see more of their teammates competing with them! Coach Gerhard and Olivia’s Mom will be providing an overview and presentation on Friday, October 2nd at 6PM for all our parents that are interested in taking the step in to Regional and National events.
You don’t have to be an advanced fencer to not only do local and regional and national events. You have to be willing to take on a new challenge. You fence new people from other states and clubs, and in doing so, gain more experience, become more accustomed to higher levels of competition, and improve our skills.
Please join us on Friday, October 2nd, at 6PM. There will also be open fencing for all fencers afterwards.
Pop-Up Teen Beginner’s Class
Coach Zion will be conducting a 2-hour Pop-Up Teen Beginner’s Class also on Friday, October 2nd, at 6PM. We are growing the Thursday Teen class with Coach Zion. Please share with friends that might be interested in starting fencing!
