Pisacafe Circuit Points Winners
In 2022, Greensboro Fencing Academy, All-American Fencing Academy, and Cape Fear Fencing Association partnered to create the Pisacafe Youth Circuit to encourage and develop youth fencers from the three clubs to participate in tournaments not only within their own club but at the other clubs participating in the circuit.
Pisacafe is a portmanteau of Piedmont, Sandhills, and Cape Fear; areas where the Greensboro Fencing Academy, All-American Fencing Academy, and Cape Fear Fencing Association are located. 3 events were scheduled, 1 at each fencing club. 23 fencers from all three clubs participated. Each event had it’s individual winner, but a rolling points list was created to award participants based on the number of fencers in an event and the fencer’s finishing place in the event.
The first place points winner received a $75 gift certificate to Absolute Fencing Gear. In addition, instead of points patches (like USA Fencing RYC patches), top 4 points winners will receive keychains. Fencers in the top 4 points standings are Max Greene (1st), Conner Lamie (2nd), Daniel Wisniewski (3rd), and Abe Kaplan (4th).
This circuit’s first place winner is Max Greene from the All-American Fencing Academy. He attended all 3 events, placed 1st in Fayetteville, 2nd in Greensboro, then 1st again in Wilmington.
Conner Lamie, from Greensboro Fencing Academy, took 2nd in points and fenced in all 3 events. Conner placed 6th in Fayetteville, 1st in Greensboro, and 3rd in Wilmington.
Daniel Wisniewski, from the All-American Fencing Academy, took 3rd in points and fencing in all 3 events. Daniel placed 3rd in Fayetteville, 8th in Greensboro, and 3rd in Wilmington.
Abe Kaplan, from Greensboro Fencing Academy, took 4th in points and fenced in only 2 events, although he placed 3rd in both the Fayetteville and Greensboro events.

Greensboro Fencing Academy, All-American Fencing Academy, and Cape Fear Fencing Association plan to host another Pisacafe Circuit in the next fencing season. Keep an eye out for it and we hope to have more fencers participating!
