Tournaments, Referee Clinics, Charlotte NAC, and Advanced Camp!

TOURNAMENTS

There is an Unsanctioned Tournament in Apex on April 9, 2022 for Y10, Y12, Senior Men’s Foil, and Senior Women’s Foil. Coach will be out of town, but if anyone wants to get, make sure you talk to coach to make sure you have equipment put together. Sanctioned Tournament May 7-8 at Apex tournament. Not sure yet Coach will go to this one yet, but Men’s and Women’s foil events are on Saturday, and there is a Mixed Division 3 Foil on Sunday (only for fencers with D,E, and no rating). If you’ve been actively competing, especially if you’ve already done a sanctioned event at our club, this is a good tournament to get your feet wet into doing sanctioned events without a Coach present, it’s not that far away. REFEREE CLINICS!
There are 2 referee clinics we can recommend if you want to get better at refereeing and possibly earn your ratings as a referee.

There is an online only referee clinic from May 27-28, 2022. If you are not going to the Wilmington, consider the online referee clinic. The clinic is $60 in advance, through April 17th., $70 between April 18-25. Many of our rated referees have take this class with Lisa Campy-Sapery. CHARLOTTE NORTH AMERICAN CUP SPECTATING AND SHOPPING
The Charlotte North American Cup is from April 21-24. Coach, Isabelle, and Andrew will be competing Sunday morning from April 24, 2022. Equipment suppliers and uniform printers will be on site. CAMPS!
Lastly, we are planning to have an Advanced Camp. This is open to all our fencers, no matter the skill level. The camp will be from June 3-5, 2-5PM. We need 10 people to solidify the Coach that’s teaching the camp. We currently have 9 on the interest sheet. When we hit 10 on the interest sheet, we’ll open up the registrations and payments.
