Quick Updates for June
Wish our fencers luck that are fencing at the Raleigh North American Cup. For anyone that is visiting or supporting our fencers, view the times that our fencers are fencing if you want to watch them. Otherwise, this is also a good time to not only watch great National competition in our state, but also purchase and try on equipment! Location: Raleigh Convention Center, 500 S Salisbury Street Raleigh, NC 27601.
Here are when our fencers are fencing:
Men’s Div2 Foil: Friday 2PM (Gabriel Guevarra, Isaac Canady, Andrew Iford)
Women’s Cadet Foil: Saturday 8AM (Isabelle Guevarra)
Men’s Div2 Epee: Saturday 2PM (Andrew Iford)
No Class Tuesday, June 6, 2023
Grace Guevarra is graduating! Some of you may remember her as your Camp Manager if you did Beginner Fencing Summer Camp with us. Below is the make up schedule:
Youth Class Make-Up: Thursday, June 8, 2023, 6PM
Teen/Adult Class Make-Up: Wednesday, June 7, 2023, 6PM
Wednesday Classes Will Start At 6PM Starting June 7
Starting June 7, 2023, Wednesday classes will shift 15 minutes earlier and start at 6PM. For all students that will be moving up to the older class on Wednesdays, the class itself lasts an hour, but all students in these classes are expected to fence electric after class. Typically fencers will stay for another half hour to 45 minutes doing open electric fencing, but you can leave whenever you like and stay however long you like. Students in this class tend to compete more frequently so we spend additional time practicing in full competition gear.
No Class June 29, 2023
Youth Class Make-Up: Tuesday, June 27, 2023, 6PM
Epee Class Make-Up: Tuesday, June 27, 2023, 7PM
Free Fencing Equipment!

After Beginner Fencing Camp Open Fencing
We are hosting Beginner Fencing Summer Camp from June 16-18, 2023. Seth, Bruce, Gabe, and Isabelle will be there as assistant coaches. On those three days, we’ll be finishing up with camp at 1pm, if you’d like to come out, hang out, and fence a little, other teens are welcome to come out. Sorry we couldn’t get an advanced camp this year, but we have a plan for next year! Get some fencing on and hang out in lieu of an advanced camp. If you want to arrive around 12:30 and watch your teammates assistant coach the beginners camp, we may use you in the future! 🙂
