Weekend Results and Other Upcoming Events

Congrats to everyone that competed over the weekend. Our current competitors also got a chance to go head to head with a previous class of competitors that were home from college. Congrats to Hoyt Kramer who competed in his first Seniors event!

Also congrats to Isaac Canady, Lily Kube, and Isabelle Guevarra. They have taken the USA Fencing National referee seminar and taken and passed ALL THREE WEAPONS examinations! They will now have to be observed during a sanctioned event to earn their USA Fencing referee rating.

The February Pisacafe and Homeschool Event is now available on AskFred. Note, although it is in Greensboro, the event at the Barber Park Simkins Center, 1500 Barber Park Dr, Greensboro, NC 27401.

Junior Olympics in Charlotte, NC, February 16-19, 2024
Isaac Canady has qualified and is planning to compete in the Junior Men’s Foil at the Junior Olympics in Charlotte. Also, many equipment vendors will be there! So if you’d like to cheer on Isaac and look at the fencing equipment vendors, especially if you want to purchase uniforms, there would be a good time to try things on! (Coach will be doing the same thing. 🙂 ) You can find information about the Junior Olympics here: https://member.usafencing.org/details/tournaments/8014 There is no cost for spectators.
