Medals from the Apex Novice Cup!
Miles Mardis takes 3rd place in the Y10 Mixed Foil! He won 4 out of 6 bouts in his pool, putting him in 6th seed in the elimination rounds. Miles had a stunning first round win with a 10-0 victory, then upset the #3 seed with a 10-5 victory before being defeated semi-finals. Congrats to Miles!
Logan Kunkel takes 1st place in the Senior Mixed Epee! He won 3 out of 4 bouts in his pool, putting him in 2nd seed in the elimination rounds. He had a bye in his first round, and had a close win, 15-13, in his second round. He won the semi-finals 15-11, and fared better in the final round, winning 15-9 against the 4th seed who upset the 1st seed in the semi-finals.
Lily Kube and Isaac Canady Graduate from Sandhills Community College!
Lily and Isaac graduated from their 2-year Associates program at Sandhills Community College on Saturday! Congrats to them. Isaac has some applications out for colleges, Lily is continuing with the C-Step Program to UNC Chapel Hill!

For those that know occasional fencer and club volunteer, Liam Guevarra, his high school musical ensemble at Massey Hill Classical High School won best ensemble at the DPAC Rising Star Awards. Hosted by none other than Clay Aiken.
